Mi Luna Tapas Restaurant & Bar

Mi Luna Tapas Restaurant & Bar opened in March of 1998 in Rice Village. The name “Mi Luna” was inspired by a popular song and movie titled: "El Toro y La Luna" or “The Moon and The Bull." It's a story about love's true devotion that we try to honor in our devotion to serving the best Tapas and Spanish inspired food in Houston.

Near the tallest mountain in Spain, a bull fell in love with the moon. From his cercaos where the bullfighting occurs, he could gaze upon the reflection of the moon in a nearby pond. Every night, he would call Mi Luna to the shimmering vision in the pond, desperately waiting to hear it call back. Finally, the bull could take no more. He busted free of his enclosure and raced for the pond. Reaching the pond, the bull howled in despair at finding his love, the moon, was not in the pond but rather floating in the sky. His love undiminished, the bull ran up that nearby mountain to be closer still to his love. After that, every night the bull would break free from his cercaos and run up the mountain to watch over his love, Mi Luna, as she floated through the night sky.
